ACCIONA & Aganova Save Thousands of Liters Daily with Nautilus Pipeline Inspection
ACCIONA and Aganova have successfully utilized advanced Lincoln Nautilus technology to inspect a 4.1-kilometer pipeline in Manzanares, Ciudad Real. The inspection, led by José Fernando Pérez Serrano, Head of Service for Manzanares at ACCIONA, has revealed significant improvements in water management and supply efficiency.
The pipeline, measuring 600 mm in diameter and carrying a flow of 400 m3/h, was experiencing substantial losses that impacted its supply capacity. Lincoln Nautilus, a smart sensor technology, swiftly and precisely detected 16 leaks, including critical ones, without interrupting service. This non-invasive method allows for highly accurate pinpointing of loss points, optimizing hydraulic infrastructure management.
The inspection has shown promising results, with the potential to recover up to 3,000 m3 of water per day. This not only enhances water sustainability and service quality but also reduces operational costs, improves asset planning, and supports sustainable water resource use. Both ACCIONA and Aganova are committed to advancing such high-precision, non-invasive technologies for improved efficiency in water management.
The successful inspection of the Manzanares pipeline using Lincoln Nautilus technology has demonstrated significant water savings and supply system resilience. With the potential to recover substantial water volumes daily, this initiative supports sustainable water resource use and enhances service quality. Both ACCIONA and Aganova remain dedicated to promoting such innovative, non-invasive solutions for efficient water management.
