AI company Metaforms, based in Bengaluru, secures $9 million in financing led by Peak XV Partners.
A B2B AI startup based in Bengaluru, India, Metaforms, has announced a successful Series A funding round, securing $9 million. The funding round was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and Together Fund.
Founded in 2022, Metaforms has been operational for just six months, yet it has already made significant strides in the market research industry. The startup's platform now processes over 1,000 surveys a month, a testament to its rapid growth.
Metaforms builds AI agents that automate operational workflows for market research firms. Unlike some AI solutions, Metaforms' agents are designed to augment researchers' productivity, not replace them. The goal is to help research teams spend less time on mundane tasks and more on meaningful work.
Akshat Tyagi, co-founder and CEO of Metaforms, shared, "We are demonstrating what's possible when deep customer empathy meets technical ambition."
Manav Garg, Co-founder and managing partner at Together Fund, described Metaforms as a breakout example of the India-to-global play in AI. Garg further stated that Metaforms is not just automating tasks, but rebuilding research infrastructure for the modern era.
The funding raised by Metaforms will be used to grow the team, expand into new workflows like report generation and voice-based research, and deepen integrations with tools like Decipher, SPSS, and Confirmit. The startup has also planned to open a new office in New York to support its expansion.
Metaforms has signed on clients including Dynata, Savanta, and STRAT7, primarily based in North America and Europe. Shailendra Singh, MD at Peak XV, expressed excitement about partnering with Metaforms and reimagining the future of market research agencies in an AI-first world.
According to Singh, Metaforms' founders, Akshat and Arjun, are demonstrating what's possible when deep customer empathy meets technical ambition. With this new funding, Metaforms is poised to revolutionize the market research industry and scale rapidly, enabling some of the largest research agencies globally to automate workflows such as survey programming and data processing through their suite of AI agents.
