Anticipation for the upcoming 'Andor' Season 2 release grows, yet a trailer remains unseen.
Disney dropped some anticipation bombs during the Super Bowl, with the Thunderbolts trailer stealing the spotlight. Some fans were hoping for a sneak peek of Andor season 2, but no such luck. All we had to keep us satisfied were a few recently released stills. It's puzzling why Disney hasn't pulled the trigger on a Super Bowl ad for what seems like a surefire hit.
My two cents? Disney crunched the numbers and decided shelling out big bucks for a Super Bowl ad for a show that's already cost them a pretty penny in production wasn't worth the splurge. Andor fans were bound to check out season 2 regardless, and a Super Bowl ad likely wouldn't net many new viewers for season 1, which aired back in September 2022.
With Andor season 2 less than two months away (April 22, 2025, to be exact), one has to wonder why the adrenaline-pumping trailer isn't out yet. The Andor season 1 trailer dropped on May 26, 2022, four months before its release, so this wait is definitely out of the ordinary.
The Andor saga has been an odd one for Disney. Before The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew, Andor was the least-watched Disney+ Star Wars series. Critics and fans alike love it, but without the upfront deal to make two seasons no matter what, it's uncertain that a second season would have been greenlit.
If I had a dollar for every time I wished a trailer would magically appear, I'd be a rich man by now. Disney's not showing any signs of giving us the Andor season 2 trailer any time soon, and it's getting a little peculiar.

Despite the growing anticipation, Disney hasn't released the highly anticipated Andor season 2 trailer during their Super Bowl promotions.
