Apple unveils Ask Apple, a service intended for developers

Apple has recently introduced a new series of interactive Q&As and one-on-ones called Ask Apple, aimed at helping developers connect with Apple experts for insight, support, and feedback. This initiative builds on successful programs like Tech Talks and Meet with App Store Experts.

Developers can register for Ask Apple and find information on the schedule by visiting developer.apple.com/events/ask-apple. The first round of opportunities will take place from October 17-21.

Office hours are focused on creating and distributing compelling apps that take advantage of the latest in technology and design. Developers can participate in Q&As on Slack or in one-on-one office hours. These sessions will be hosted in time zones around the world and in multiple languages, ensuring that developers from all corners of the globe can benefit from this initiative.

One idea that emerged from a one-on-one office hours session is integrating Siri into the Wisdom app, an educational app that teaches young children social and emotional skills. The redesigned Wisdom app navigation creates separate paths for children, educators, and parents, while the redesigned meditation section is more visual and user-friendly for children. The Wisdom app uses games and augmented reality (AR) to teach children emotional skills.

Ondine Bullot, the CEO of Better Kids and the founder of Wisdom: The World of Emotions, has participated in multiple engagement series including Tech Talks, Meet with App Store Experts, and WWDC's digital lounge discussions. Her conversations with Apple experts have been instrumental in guiding her app-building and refinement process.

Jordi Bruin, an iOS developer from Amsterdam, has also shared how his conversations with Apple experts guided him on his app-building and refinement process for his app Posture Pal. Developers can inquire about various topics such as testing on the latest seeds, implementing new frameworks, adopting new features, preparing apps for new OS and hardware releases, and more.

Ask Apple provides developers with direct access to Apple experts for support, feedback, and guidance. This series is free of charge and open to all members of the Apple Developer Program and the Apple Developer Enterprise Program.

In addition to Ask Apple, Apple offers a wide variety of tools and end-to-end support for developers to build, test, market, and distribute their apps. The first dates for the Ask Apple series will be published soon, and developers can register for attendance through the official Apple Developer website or portal when the registration opens.
