Mercedes Unveils New GLC with EQ Technology
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its latest offering, the new GLC, which comes equipped with EQ Technology. The new model, set to go on sale in the New Year, boasts a familiar design with tweaked looks and a range of all-electrified engines.
The GLC will initially be available in a single model, the GLC 400 4Matic. This vehicle promises an impressive range of 442 miles, powered by a 94kWh battery. The GLC 400 4Matic delivers a combined 482bhp, while the more powerful Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance delivers an impressive 671bhp.
The new GLC is updated with a full-width 'Hyperscreen' of 39.1′′, offering an immersive driving experience. It also includes a trio of PHEVs, making it an attractive option for environmentally-conscious consumers.
In addition to its electrified powertrains, the new GLC offers a host of other features. It comes with a panoramic roof as standard, an optional air suspension for a smoother ride, and optional rear-wheel steering for improved handling.
The new model also includes AI features from Google and Microsoft, ensuring a seamless and connected driving experience. For those who prioritise sustainability, the new GLC offers a Vegan interior option.
Mercedes-Benz is responsible for the development and sale of the electrically powered GLC with EQ Technology, which is set to debut in Munich in September. This new electric GLC is a distinct vehicle built on an EV-only platform and will expand the Mercedes-Benz GLC lineup starting in the first half of 2026.
The price of the new electric GLC is yet to be announced. However, the Mercedes GLC 400 4Matic and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43, which deliver 415bhp and 482bhp respectively, are expected to be priced competitively in their respective segments.
The new Mercedes GLC is set to make a significant impact in the automotive industry, offering a blend of performance, technology, and sustainability. Stay tuned for more updates as the new GLC with EQ Technology approaches its launch.
