Austrian Giants Merge: Schwarzmayr & Agxor Form New Joint Venture
Two Austrian companies, Schwarzmayr Landtechnik GmbH (SLT) and Agxor Vertriebsgesellschaft Ost GmbH, have joined forces to create a new joint venture. The venture, named Schwarzmayr Landtechnik GmbH, will focus on marketing tractors and harvesting technology from the CNH house, specifically the Case IH and Steyr brands. Robert Schwarzmayr will lead the new company.
The joint venture will operate from seven locations across Austria, combining the resources of both companies. It will be headed by co-owner Robert Schwarzmayr, who is also the leader of the newly founded entity. The approximately 150 employees of both companies together generate sales of 80 million euros. However, the merger is still subject to the fulfillment of closing conditions, such as the approval of the Austrian cartel authority.
The new Schwarzmayr Landtechnik GmbH is set to become a significant player in the Austrian agricultural news, with a focus on Case IH and Steyr brands. The combined resources and expertise of the two companies are expected to strengthen their position, pending the approval of the Austrian cartel authority.
