Belarus & Russia Unveil Electric, Autonomous Vehicles & Tech
The automotive and technology sectors in Belarus and Russia are buzzing with innovation. At recent exhibitions, companies have unveiled futuristic electric vehicles, autonomous machines, and advanced technologies.
At 'Innoprom. Belarus', Belarusian unmanned helicopters took centre stage at the entrance. Meanwhile, BELGEE presented an elegant crossover X80 PHEV, a hybrid gasoline-electric vehicle. Horizont, known for televisions, surprised attendees by introducing a line of tablets.
Russian company 'ATOM' showcased a futuristic electric crossover with autopilot and augmented reality interfaces. Another Russian company, Aurora, is developing an autonomous electric crossover with over 150,000 preorders in Russia. MAZ presented a new-generation tourist bus 351 with sleek lines and modern LED panels.
In the heavy machinery sector, a 450-ton BelAZ greeted guests at the entrance of BELEXPO, ready to operate. Minsk Tractor Plant has created a driverless machine for plowing fields and working around the clock. Belarus and Russia are collaborating to develop an autonomous BelAZ dump truck for Russian quarries next year.
Rosatom's subsidiary 'RENERA' is involved in mining raw materials, producing cells, and assembling modules and batteries for electric vehicles and urban environments. The company is expected to start mass production of unmanned dump trucks by 2030 and unmanned BelAZ on hydrogen by 2035.
These advancements demonstrate the growing commitment to innovation and sustainability in the region. As these technologies become more prevalent, they are expected to transform industries and improve efficiency.
