BMW M3 GTR: Rare, Raw Power on the Road
BMW has crafted a rare gem with the M3 GTR. This street-legal beast is one of only three ever produced, boasting a raw, race-car-for-the-road spirit.
At the heart of the M3 GTR lies a 4.0-liter engine, a restricted version of the actual race car engine. It features a flat-plane crankshaft and dry sump lubrication, generating 346 hp and 365 Nm of torque. Unlike the 2003 M3 CSL, the M3 GTR comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
The GTR's exterior is adorned with a carbon fiber rear wing, trunk lid spoiler, redesigned bumpers, hood vents, and an exposed carbon fiber roof. Despite its aggressive styling, it's lighter than the M3 CSL, tipping the scales at 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs). Inside, the seats and interiors differ slightly from the standard E46 M3.
The M3 GTR's rarity and performance make it a true collector's item. Its engine, transmission, and lightweight body ensure an exhilarating driving experience. With only three ever made, it's a testament to BMW's commitment to creating exceptional, raw power on the road.
