The BMW Motorrad Concept RR, a cutting-edge superbike concept, has been unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. This new creation, inspired by BMW’s M 1000 RR racing lineage, promises to push the boundaries of speed and precision with its advanced track-focused technology and materials.

The BMW Motorrad Concept RR is engineered for pure speed, with every detail optimised for the racetrack. Its design is track-born, building upon the M 1000 RR’s strong pedigree in superbike racing. The bike boasts a state-of-the-art technology, incorporating World Superbike (WSBK) technology with components and engineering inspired by BMW’s factory racing efforts.

Extensive use of carbon fiber, a key material in the bike's "carbon precision" approach, reduces weight and improves aerodynamics for maximum performance. The bike's distinctive styling is aggressive and futuristic, with signature design elements such as an embossed RR logo on the tail and an illuminated RR symbol beneath the sculpted aluminum rear section.

The BMW Motorrad Concept RR delivers over 230 horsepower, placing it above most current production superbikes and squarely in line with top-tier racing machines. While not explicitly detailed, the reference to M 1000 RR lineage suggests a highly tuned inline-four engine platform, consistent with BMW’s latest racing and street-legal superbikes.

The bike's aerodynamics also include ventilated front and monolithic, aerodynamically optimised rear. These features achieve competing goals through an unprecedentedly compact package, reduced external attachments, and enhanced precision of airflow. The BMW Motorrad Concept RR's design is sharp, purposeful, and expressive, with an embossed RR logo on the tail and an illuminated RR symbol on the downside of the aluminum tail.

Markus Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad, called the Concept RR a "true masterpiece" of development. The BMW Motorrad Concept RR is a creation for the superbike segment, designed for ambitious super-sporty use, both on the road and in professional racing. It features electronic control and regulation systems from the WSBK M 1000 RR, such as engine management, traction control, and engine brake.

Innovative manufacturing techniques and high-tech materials like carbon and aluminum have been used for lightweight construction. BMW Motorrad has developed a unique lifestyle jacket, the Concept RR LTD jacket, to complement the BMW Motorrad Concept RR. This jacket is limited to 50 units and is made of fine calf Nappa leather, crafted in cooperation with the traditional Bavarian company MEINDL.

BMW Motorrad, with its passion and conviction for motorsport, continues to strive towards making motorcycling safe and comfortable for over 45 years. The company offers a comprehensive program of Riders Gear and Casual Wear to ensure riders are well-equipped for their journeys. The BMW Motorrad Concept RR is a testament to their commitment to innovation and excellence in the world of motorcycling.
