BMW Unveils 2026 M5 Hybrid: Power Meets Efficiency
BMW has unveiled the 2026 M5, one of the most advanced and powerful sedans on the market. The second model year of the latest M5 iteration brings improved performance and efficiency.
The 2026 M5, based on the G90/G99 chassis, introduces a hybrid powertrain. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 (S68 engine) combines with an electric motor to deliver 717 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. The M5 Sedan starts at $121,900, with the Touring priced at $123,900.
The M5 Touring offers ample cargo space, with 18 cubic feet expanding to 58 cubic feet with seats folded. Fuel efficiency is impressive, with combined ratings of 14 mpg (Sedan) and 13 mpg (Touring), and hybrid driving figures of 47 mpge and 54 mpge respectively. The battery gets a faster charge, maxing out at 11 kW.
BMW equips the 2026 M5 with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety and driver-assistance technologies.
The 2026 BMW M5, with its impressive performance, efficiency, and practicality, solidifies its position as one of the top sedans in its class. Pricing for the M5 Touring in Germany is not yet available.
