Boeing & Palantir Team Up for AI-Powered Military Operations
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has teamed up with Palantir Technologies to harness artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced military operations. The partnership, announced recently, aims to streamline data analytics and insights across BDS's sprawling factories and programs.
Steve Parker, CEO of BDS, praised Palantir's leadership in AI, stating that the company is at the forefront of accelerating critical products and services for military operators. The collaboration will see BDS adopt Palantir's Foundry platform to unify complex systems and provide a user-friendly interface across its more than a dozen major production lines.
These lines manufacture a wide array of military hardware, including aircraft, helicopters, satellites, spacecraft, missiles, and weapons. Mike Gallagher, Palantir's head of defense, expressed commitment to delivering dominant capabilities to the warfighter and accelerating production and innovation. In addition to integrating AI systems, BDS has also engaged Palantir to provide AI expertise and capabilities for classified and proprietary military missions.
The Boeing-Palantir partnership seeks to standardize data analytics and insights, accelerate production, and enhance military capabilities. By leveraging Palantir's AI expertise and Foundry platform, BDS aims to improve its operations and contribute to the security of the United States and its allies.
