Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport Unveils €4M New Terminal in Just 12 Months
Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport has announced the completion of its new terminal, a project that took only twelve months and stayed within a budget of €4 million. This news is a significant development for the airport, as the new terminal has transformed its landscape and improved passenger experience.
The new terminal, spanning 825 square meters, features modern seating, barrier-free access, and top-notch lighting, ventilation, and sanitary facilities. It caters to both Schengen and international flights, making it a versatile addition to the airport.
The successful completion of this news-making project is credited to the general contractor Gerlach Schlüsselfertigbau and the Wolfsburger office of Bühring Architects, along with other engineering firms. Their collaborative efforts have not only modernized the airport structurally and technically but also made it more attractive to passengers.
The new terminal's foyer serves as a spacious entrance, offering passengers a free view of the apron during their waiting time. This addition is expected to enhance the overall passenger experience and working conditions for employees.
The new terminal at Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport, completed and handed over by the mayors of Braunschweig and Wolfsburg, is set to secure the airport's future. It replaces the previous improvised solution, providing improved handling and waiting quality for passengers. The €4 million investment is a testament to the region's commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and services.
