Brüggemann Strengthens Plastics Portfolio with Innovative Additives and Acquisitions
Brüggemann, a leading provider of additives for the plastics industry, has been making waves with its recent acquisitions and innovative product offerings. The company recently displayed its high-performance additives at the K 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf.
Brüggemann's portfolio boasts long-term heat stabilizers for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounds, enabling T3/T4 classification. The company's tailored solutions for e-mobility include metal- and halogen-free heat stabilizers for reinforced polyamides, capable of withstanding continuous temperatures of 170°C for up to 8,000 hours.
In 2022, Brüggemann expanded its offerings by acquiring the Italian subsidiary Auserpolimeri. This acquisition brought expertise in chemically functionalized polyolefin-based polymers, used as impact modifiers for polyamides and enabling new additive developments suitable for e-mobility and high-temperature environments. The company aims to improve flow properties during injection molding of thermoplastics for lightweight designs with high percentages of reinforcing fibers.
Brüggemann's focus on metal- and halogen-free additives that enhance thermal resistance in thermoplastics, while maintaining electrical and flame-retardant properties, positions the company at the forefront of the industry. With its recent acquisitions and innovative product offerings, Brüggemann continues to strengthen its portfolio and solidify its presence in the global plastics market.
