Chamber Business Awards 2018 Honours UK's Top Companies
The Chamber Business Awards, celebrating its 14th year, honoured UK businesses contributing to growth and prosperity. The event, held on March 1, 2018, saw several companies recognised for their excellence, though the opening bell ringer remains unknown.
Ahead Partnership, based in Leeds, won for Business and Education Partnership. JC Social Media Limited, from Birmingham, took the prize for Best Use of Social Media. Linwoods, a bakers and health food business in Armagh, was named Export Business of the Year. Stockport Homes, delivering affordable housing, won for Excellence in Customer Service.
Flynn, a building and maintenance business from Northern Ireland, developed the 'Boost' initiative to enhance morale, mental wellbeing, and communication. AnyJunk, a London-based waste collector, won both Best Use of Technology and Business of the Year. ICON Aerospace Technology Ltd, a global leader in polymer-based aerospace products, was recognised as High Growth Business of the Year. Manchester & Cheshire Construction Co. Ltd demonstrated commitment to people development, with 252 training days last year. DNA Worldwide, providers of DNA, drug, and alcohol testing, won Small Business of the Year.
The Chamber Business Awards recognised companies across various sectors, highlighting their achievements and contributions to UK business. Despite the lack of information on who opened the London Stock Exchange that day, the awards ceremony celebrated the success and innovation of UK businesses.
