Chinese automaker BYD Denza set to debut N8L luxury large SUV in the second quarter of 2026.

Denza, the premium electric vehicle brand, has announced the launch of its latest offering, the N8L, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) targeting the premium SUV market. The N8L will be available alongside the Denza N9.
The N8L, a slightly scaled-down version of the N9 flagship SUV, entered China's MIIT filing catalog in May. It boasts dimensions of 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and a height of either 1,820 mm or 1,990 mm, offering a spacious interior architecture.
Powered by BYD's e3 technology, the N8L uses a 47 kWh BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing an all-electric range of approximately 200–202 km under the CLTC cycle and a combined driving range of about 1,300 km. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h, showcasing strong performance for a plug-in hybrid SUV.
The N8L's interior is as luxurious as it is powerful. It features a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, 13.2-inch driver and front passenger displays, and a ceiling-mounted screen for rear passengers. A massive 50-inch augmented reality head-up display (HUD) above the dashboard provides an immersive driving experience.
The second row consists of executive captain’s seats with features such as leg rests, massage, heating, ventilation, and 46 storage zones. Premium materials like Nappa leather and wood trim are used, along with a 26-speaker Devialet audio system. A fridge integrated into the console with heating and cooling functionality adds a touch of luxury.
