Cryoport Opens New Paris Facility for Temperature-Sensitive Biopharma Logistics
Cryoport, a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics, has opened a new facility in Louvres, France. The site, located near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, is the third in Cryoport's Global Supply Chain Centre network. It offers cryogenic capabilities for temperature-sensitive materials, supporting various biopharma sectors including cell and gene therapies, biologics, animal health, and reproductive medicine.
The Louvres facility is part of Cryoport's strategic plan to support clinical and commercial advanced therapy programmes with integrated, end-to-end logistics services. The company aims to expand services at this location in the coming months to include biostorage, BioServices, QP drug management, Importer of Record (IOR) capabilities, and other offerings.
Jerrell Shelton, CEO of Cryoport, expressed that the new facility strengthens Cryoport Systems' Global Supply Chain Centre Network and enhances service to clients in European and global markets. The site is already supporting logistics for biopharma clients in various sectors, including cell and gene therapies, biologics, animal health, and reproductive medicine.
