Get ready, survivors! The latest addition to Icarus, the survival co-op game that's been making waves on Steam, is about to drop - Icarus: Great Hunts Campaigns. This bad boy's packing some serious firepower, complete with branching missions, colossal boss battles, and legendary weapons, all revealed at the PC Gaming Show 2025.
Prepare for a thrilling ride as you take on Icarus: Great Hunts Campaigns. This exciting DLC, accompanied by a substantial free update to the base game, promises to redefine how you tackle Icarus' titanic titans. The campaign structure? It's not just about hunting; it's about the journey, the choices, and the ultimate showdown.
The "campaigns" part of the title ain't just for show. You'll embark on a series of branching missions, each with its unique storyline, focused on tracking down a boss. Decisions along the way will affect the environment, unlock exclusive tools, and even tweak some of the bosses' abilities. And once you've completed each storyline? It's time for the main event - the nail-biting, heart-pounding confrontation against the Great Hunt boss.
Each boss has its own domain, perfectly suited to its strength. And when the battle commences, you'd better hope your team's wings are sturdy, 'cause you're flying too close to the sun!
Successfully defeating a boss opens up new challenges, as fresh bosses unlock, each with its unique powers. Plus, each campaign will also grant you the blueprint for a Legendary Weapon. The materials dropped by the Great Hunt bosses then head back to the Orbital Space Station, where they can be used to craft these bad boys. Rocketwertz says there are "4 upgrade slots from 3 themed upgrade paths, leading to 81 unique combinations per weapon."
Hold onto your helmets, 'cause Icarus: Great Hunts Campaigns is launching soon, with three hunts across Olympus, Styx, and Prometheus.
