Digital acquisition by Clarion Gaming: Global Gaming Business now under Clarion's control

Clarion Gaming Digital, a subsidiary of Clarion Gaming, has announced the acquisition of Global Gaming Business (GGB). The deal includes GGB's annual publications such as Casino Style, Tribal Government Gaming, Progressive Products Preview (P3), and online assets, including GGB News.

This strategic move aims to accelerate Clarion Gaming Digital's growth in North America, expanding its digital publishing business's global reach. The acquisition provides clients with access to a larger audience via an array of marketing services.

Founded in 2002, GGB boasts a trusted title with a reach beyond sports betting, iGaming, and into commercial and tribal gaming. The acquisition will bolster Clarion's ability to offer comprehensive news, analysis, and data to every sector of the industry.

Alex Pratt, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, commented, "This acquisition is a significant milestone for our digital business. We are acquiring a business with deep industry heritage, and with it, the opportunity to build on their solid foundations in the U.S."

Robin Harrison, Global Content Director, B2B, at Clarion Gaming Digital, noted the acquisition occurring amid changes to state regulation and the emergence of new land-based and online developments across the U.S. and Canada. He expressed delight at sealing the deal, as it brings new industry expertise, expands their reach, and consolidates their presence in a crucial region.

Roger Gros, GGB publisher and CEO of its parent company Casino Connection International LLC, expressed confidence in Clarion Gaming Digital, believing they share the same passion and vision for serving their readership. He believes the relationship will ensure their pivotal role in the industry remains unchanged, allowing them to continue their essential work.

Clarion Gaming Digital plans to further expand its presence in North America by leveraging unique partnerships available through the wider Clarion Events portfolio. This includes the DigitalPlay Summit at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention over 10-11 April.

While there is no specific information on future ownership changes at Clarion Events, an ongoing trend suggests growth in the online gaming market, driven by advancements in digital technologies and consumer spending. This growth could influence Clarion's strategic decisions in North America or other regions.
