Effortless transition of DualSense controller between devices now possible with latest PlayStation 5 update
PlayStation 5 Prepares for a Busy Holiday Season with Upcoming Updates and Game Releases
The PlayStation 5 is gearing up for a packed release calendar, aiming to deliver an optimal gaming experience for users. Sony is ensuring that the console runs smoothly during the holiday rush, with a significant update and a prominent presence at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
The Tokyo Game Show, set to take place later this month, will offer a platform for Sony to unveil more details about their upcoming games. Titles such as Ghost of Yotei, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Astro Bot, and more are expected to be showcased.
Sony's update includes features designed to enhance the user experience, particularly in the context of the console's busy schedule. The update includes improvements for device switching and power-saving efficiency. One such feature is the Power Saver mode, which is currently available for select games and will be extended to more titles through future patches.
The Power Saver mode can be enabled or disabled for each supported game in the Settings menu. Titles like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yotei, and Demon's Souls will receive patches to support this feature.
The update also addresses a long-standing user frustration by allowing a DualSense controller to connect to multiple devices simultaneously. This feature is available with the PlayStation 5 update (version 25.06-12.00.00).
Sony's focus on sustainability is evident in this update, mirroring similar initiatives on Xbox consoles. The Power Saver mode, for instance, reduces performance in supported games to conserve power.
The PS5's release schedule extends into December, with games like Octopath Traveler 0, Code Violet, and Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection set to be released. October and November bring heavy-hitting games such as Ghost of Yotei, Battlefield 6, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
September also promises a busy lineup, with games like Dying Light: The Beast, Silent Hill f, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and EA Sports FC 26 set to be released. Sony is expected to provide deeper insights into these games and more at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
Stay tuned for more updates on the PlayStation 5 and its upcoming releases.
