Electric pre-orders for the upcoming Hyundai Creta model are now available; details on color options and variant versions have been disclosed.
The automotive industry is abuzz with excitement as Hyundai Motors India is set to launch its new electric vehicle, the Creta Electric, on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This much-anticipated electric SUV will join Hyundai's growing electric vehicle portfolio, catering to a wider audience than the Ioniq 5 and the now-discontinued Kona EV.
Key Features of the Hyundai Creta Electric
The Creta Electric comes with a host of impressive features. It boasts 17-inch aero-designed alloy wheels, active air flaps in the front bumper, and single-pedal driving functionality. The vehicle also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing for power to be shared with external devices.
Trims and Colour Options
The Hyundai Creta Electric will be available in four trims: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. For those opting for the Home Charger (HC) variants, they can enjoy the convenience of a home charging solution. The SUV will be available in nine variants for pre-booking, with eight single-tone and two dual-tone color options. The single-tone options include Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Fiery Red Pearl, Starry Night, Ocean Blue Metallic, Ocean Blue Matte, Titan Grey Matte, and Robust Emerald Matte. The dual-tone options feature Ocean Blue Metallic and Atlas White, both with a black roof. Notably, Ocean Blue Metallic is a new color for Hyundai, debuting with the Creta Electric.
Battery Pack Options and Range
The Creta Electric will offer two battery pack options: a 51.4 kWh pack and a 42 kWh pack. The larger battery pack promises a claimed range of up to 473 km, while the smaller pack offers a claimed range of up to 390 km.
Competition and Pricing
In the Indian market, the main competitors for the Hyundai Creta Electric will be the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV. The SUV will also compete with the Mahindra BE 6, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and other electric vehicles in its segment. The Creta Electric is expected to be priced around ₹20 - 30 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Pre-bookings for the Creta Electric have begun, requiring a token amount of ₹25,000.
With its impressive features, diverse color options, and competitive pricing, the Hyundai Creta Electric is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian electric vehicle market. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new electric SUV!
