Vauxhall has introduced a new performance model named the Mokka GSE, a more focused and powerful electric SUV that promises to rival sporty electric vehicles from sister brands Abarth and Alfa Romeo.
Key Features of the Mokka GSE
The Mokka GSE is equipped with a 280 hp (207 kW) electric motor, a significant increase from the standard Mokka Electric. This powerful motor is connected to a mechanical limited-slip differential and is housed within a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery, the same as other Mokkas.
The Mokka GSE's performance is impressive, with a 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 124mph, making it Vauxhall's fastest electric model to date.
Aggressive Exterior and Enhanced Interior
The exterior of the Mokka GSE features an aggressive-looking front bumper, extra black trim, GSE badging, yellow brake calipers, and GSE wording on the front doors. The interior boasts new sports seats with Alcantara trim and yellow stitching, adding a sporty touch to the cabin.
Improved Handling and Braking
The Mokka GSE's ride height is 10mm lower, and the suspension is stiffer for improved handling. The SUV is also equipped with larger 380mm brake discs with four-piston calipers, ensuring reliable braking performance.

The digital displays in the Mokka GSE show additional data for power, battery temperature, and torque, providing drivers with crucial information to optimise their driving experience.
Pricing and Release Date
Pricing information for the Mokka GSE will be revealed at a later date, with a predicted starting price of just under £40,000. The estimated range for the Mokka GSE is around 200 miles on a full charge, similar to the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce.
