Fiat Unveils 500 Hybrid in Turin, Addressing Customer Concerns

Fiat is set to unveil a new hybrid variant of its iconic 500 model at the Turin Motor Show in September 2025. The special edition 500 Hybrid Torino will be produced at the Mirafiori plant, marking the car's return to its home city. The hybrid version aims to address underwhelming customer response to the electric version and regulatory issues with the gasoline model.

The 500 Hybrid is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder Firefly engine with 65 hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and 12-V mild hybrid technology. This combination allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 16.2 seconds, reach a top speed of 155 km/h, and achieve a fuel consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 km.

The special edition 500 Hybrid Torino features exclusive Gelbgold and Ozeangruen exterior colors, houndstooth seat upholstery with a Fiat logo, and dashboard panels in the car's color. It comes with standard features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, automatic climate control, and a keyless entry and start system. The series version of the 500 Hybrid is expected to start at under 17,000 euros in Italy, with first deliveries scheduled for February 2026.

The 500 Hybrid Torino special edition will be previewed at the Turin Motor Show, with prices starting at 20,900 euros in Italy and 21,990 euros in Germany. The new Fiat 500 Hybrid will be officially introduced in November 2025, produced in Turin as part of Fiat's efforts to revive the combustion-powered 500 with a hybrid version.
