Gap Makes Waves With Zac Posen's Custom Designs and High-Profile Collaborations
Gap has been making waves in the fashion world this year, launching two high-profile collaborations and creating stunning custom pieces. The brand appointed Zac Posen as its Creative Director and Old Navy's Chief Creative Officer in February, and he's already leaving his mark with his designs.
Posen's first major project was a custom Gap couture denim gown for Da'Vine Joy Randolph, worn at the Met Gala. He then designed a limited-edition dress for Anne Hathaway, priced at $158, which sold out in under six hours during its pre-sale. The dress features short cap sleeves that can be worn off-the-shoulder, and Gap is now selling a version of the white shirtdress custom designed for Hathaway by Posen.
Gap has also collaborated with Dôen and Palace on fashion collections this year. Additionally, the brand is set to release a new collection of all-white summer apparel starting May 29.
With Zac Posen at the helm, Gap is proving to be a force in the fashion world. His custom designs for the Met Gala and Bulgari events, as well as the high-profile collaborations and upcoming summer collection, are generating excitement among fashion enthusiasts. The brand's ability to create buzz-worthy pieces and timely collections is a testament to Posen's creative direction.
