The Hollywood Reporter, a publication owned by Penske Media Corporation and known for titles like 'Billboard', 'Variety', and the US 'Rolling Stone', is expanding its horizons with the launch of a German edition. This venture is being pursued in cooperation with Maier Media, a Munich-based company that has introduced international media brands into the German-speaking market.

The German edition of The Hollywood Reporter aims to present global entertainment stories and local insights, setting its sights on becoming the leading platform for entertainment and culture in the German-speaking market. Grace Maier, CEO of Maier Media GmbH, expresses her excitement about this new venture.

The digital platform and social media presence for the German edition will be available in September, with a first print edition planned for late October. In addition, exclusive events and a podcast are part of the plans for the German edition. The event formats for the German edition include "Women in Entertainment", "THR Creators A-List", and the new German "Festival Series and Sound & Screen". These event formats aim to create spaces for encounters, visibility, and brand collaborations - nationally and internationally.

Maer Roshan, editor-in-chief of the US Hollywood Reporter, is involved in the launch. The Hollywood Reporter is partnering with Mediengruppe Oberfranken to establish the German edition. It's worth noting that The Hollywood Reporter has previously expanded internationally, with editions launched in Japan, Rome, India, Spain, and now Germany.
