Gogoro Inc., a global technology leader in battery swapping ecosystems for sustainable mobility solutions, has announced the appointment of Henry Chiang as its official Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The news comes as the company's stock, traded on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol GGR, continues to garner attention.

Henry Chiang, with his deep industry experience and transformative leadership style, has been tapped to lead Gogoro's growth initiatives. His appointment, effective immediately, follows a successful interim period during which he guided the company through a leadership transition, realigned the organization, and focused on operational efficiency.

Tamon Tseng, chairman of Gogoro, expressed confidence in Chiang's ability to complete Gogoro's turnaround and lead the company into the future. "Henry's leadership, vision, and the excellence of the team he has assembled align perfectly with Gogoro's mission and growth strategy," Tseng said.

Under Chiang's leadership, Gogoro has made significant strides in customer satisfaction, product enhancement, and financial discipline. In 2025, the company accelerated product innovation, launching three new electric scooters, the Pulse STARLUX, EZZY, and EZZY 500. Operating expenses decreased by approximately US$11 million year-over-year, and the operating cash flow improved from US$4.8 million in the first half of 2024 to US$15.2 million in the first half of 2025.

Before joining Gogoro, Chiang worked at McKinsey & Company and held leadership positions at HTC. In his role as General Manager of Gogoro Taiwan, he launched initiatives like Gogoro Rewards, Quick Stores, and the Urban Concept Store to deepen customer engagement. He also oversaw a significant expansion of the company's global footprint, including a Vietnam joint venture and Latin America partnerships.

Chiang's history includes growing GoShare into Taiwan's largest shared-scooter service, amassing over 2.3 million users across nine cities. He is now poised to bring this success to Gogoro, with ambitious goals for the company's future. Chiang expects Gogoro to achieve profitability on a non-IFRS basis in its energy business in 2026, generate free cash flow from energy operations in 2027, and reach profitability on a non-IFRS basis in its vehicle business by 2028.

The Board of Gogoro continues to express its respect for Chiang's leadership, vision, and the excellence of the team he has assembled. With Chiang at the helm, Gogoro is poised for continued growth and innovation in the sustainable mobility sector.
