Gulfstream Unveils G300 Super-Midsize Jet
Gulfstream has unveiled the G300, a new super-midsize aircraft set to replace the G280. The G300 promises impressive range and cabin comfort, with production slated for Israel and future international locations.
The G300 boasts an impressive transatlantic range of 3,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.80, or 3,000 nm at Mach 0.84. It can cruise at a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet. Gulfstream aims to cater to diverse missions with its fleet, including the G300 and G400.
The G300's cabin is the largest in its class, accommodating 10 passengers, and offers a low cabin altitude of 4,800 feet at 41,000 feet. It features Gulfstream's signature Panoramic Oval Windows and a new Harmony Flight Deck. The aircraft is expected to compete with the likes of the Citation Longitude, Challenger 3500, and Falcon 2000 series.
Before its first test flight last month, the G300 underwent extensive design and conceptual airframe testing, totaling 22,000 hours. Two more test aircraft are currently in production.
The G300 is priced at around $28 million and will be the only Gulfstream built in Israel, with interior completions in the US. Future production may also occur abroad, depending on the company's foreign requirements. With its impressive range and cabin comfort, the G300 is poised to make a significant impact in the super-midsize category.
