German Precision Optics (GPO) has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of two new hunting scopes, the Spectra 8x 1-8x24i and Spectra 8x 2-16x50i, as part of its 8x zoom series.
The Spectra 1-8x24i is primarily designed for hunters who rely on driven hunts and quick target acquisition in close range. It will be available for 999,- Euro (RRP) by the end of July/early August 2025. On the other hand, the Spectra 8x 2-16x50i G4i is ideal for demanding hunters and features a brighter variant with a 50mm objective diameter. It is priced at 1,199,- Euro and will also be available by the end of July/early August 2025.
Both new scopes impress with their optical performance, mechanical precision, and versatility, offering extraordinary image quality, high transmission, excellent edge sharpness, and high resolution. The generous field of view of over 20 meters at 100 meters at 2x magnification for the Spectra 8x 2-16x50i, and 41 meters at 100 meters at 1x magnification for the Spectra 8x 1-8x24i, allows for quick target acquisition, making these scopes suitable for various hunting styles.
The new scopes are compatible with the optional GBT ballistic turret, which is a useful and affordable accessory priced at 89,- Euros (MSRP). This feature is particularly appealing to sport shooters in dynamic rifle disciplines like IPSC Rifle. The Ballistic Turret enables extremely precise and swift height correction in 1-cm steps at 100 meters, making it beneficial for those who frequently shoot at varying distances. It can be easily attached to both new Spectra 8x models and the proven Spectra 8x 1.3-16x44i.
The adjustment of the Ballistic Turret is intuitive and reliable, allowing for easy use even by less experienced hunters. It supports quick reaction to changing shooting situations, whether at the shooting range or in hunting use. The mounting option is well-thought-out, allowing for field attachment.
