Hudle Secures $2.5M to Launch India's First Player Rating System, Boost Recreational Sports

Hudle, a pioneering sports startup, is set to revolutionise India's recreational sports scene with the launch of the country's first-ever player rating system in August. The company has secured $2.5 million in a Series A funding round, led by Sky Impact Capital, with notable investors including Mahesh Bhupathi and Gaurav Kapur.

Founded by Suhail Narain, Arjun Singh Verma, and Sonam Taneja, Hudle enables seamless discovery, booking, and participation across popular sports. With a network of 2,000 sports venues and 1.5 million users, the startup has seen a remarkable 3.5x growth in gross transaction value and 2.5x growth in revenue over the last 12 months.

Aakash Sachdev, founder and CEO of Sky Impact Capital, led the Series A funding round. Sky Impact Capital views Hudle as a key player in transforming India's recreational sports economy. The funds will be used to enhance player experience with features like frictionless booking, match discovery, and performance tracking. Hudle aims to make playing sports as easy and normal as going out for coffee, with a focus on growing sports like pickleball and padel, which are gaining global traction.

Hudle's upcoming player rating system and expansion plans, backed by significant funding, signal a promising future for recreational sports in India. The startup's commitment to improving player experience and promoting emerging sports is set to reshape the country's sports landscape.
