In the pursuit of sustainable and customized energy solutions, hydrogen is emerging as a key player in the European stock market. Various companies, including Renault Group and HYVIA, are investing heavily in hydrogen-powered mobility solutions.

Bruno Famin, Vice President of Motorsports at Alpine, has discussed the exploration of hydrogen internal combustion engines in racing for future technology development. This move towards hydrogen power is not limited to the racing world, as Renault Group aims to have the greenest mix of vehicles on the world market by 2030.

Renault Group's efforts in the hydrogen sector are noteworthy, particularly in the Netherlands, a leader in zero-emission mobility. The company is one of the leaders in the fast-changing Dutch market for zero-emission vehicles, with several cities, including thirty by 2024, becoming low-emission zones.

To support this transition, four strategic partners for service, repair, and maintenance of hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles have been established in the Netherlands: Bochane Groep, Stam Autobedrijven, Terwolde, and Van Mossel. The Renault Pro+ distribution network also supports HYVIA's hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles.

HYVIA, a company specializing in hydrogen mobility solutions, has entered the hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicle market with fuel cell technology. David Holderbach, CEO of HYVIA, has announced that the Renault Master Van H2-TECH by HYVIA is planned to be homologated in Europe in 2021.

The Renault Master Van H2-TECH has been tested in multiple countries, including the Netherlands, France, Spain, and Germany, and has already secured its first orders in the Netherlands. HYVIA's ambition is to achieve 30% of the segment in Europe by 2030.

Plug, a company extending its know-how to the world of transport, is building a green hydrogen ecosystem, integrating production, storage, and delivery. Plug has deployed over 60,000 fuel cell systems and 185 refueling stations, more than anyone else in the market. The company is also supporting the deployment of hydrogen-powered vehicles with HYVIA in Europe, contributing fuel cell technology and green hydrogen production.

Alpine, another player in the hydrogen race, aims to be at the forefront of hydrogen research for the decarbonisation of Formula 1 and endurance racing cars. This move towards hydrogen power is not just relevant for intensive use by professionals but also for the general public, as the demand for low-carbon vehicles, particularly from professionals, continues to grow in the Netherlands.

In conclusion, the hydrogen revolution is gaining momentum in Europe, with companies like Renault Group and HYVIA leading the charge. The Netherlands, in particular, is an important market for hydrogen mobility solutions, with several key partnerships and first orders already secured. As the demand for low-carbon vehicles grows, it is clear that hydrogen will play a significant role in shaping the future of the European automotive industry.
