Hyundai's IONIQ 9 N & XRT Set to Challenge Premium EVs
Hyundai is set to fortify its position in the global electric vehicle (EV) market with the introduction of the IONIQ 9 N and XRT models. These new offerings aim to rival premium competitors and cater to specific consumer needs.
The IONIQ 9 XRT is designed with off-road enthusiasts in mind, broadening Hyundai's customer base. A prototype has been spotted in California, featuring off-road tires, a winch, and higher suspension. Hyundai aims to differentiate its portfolio by offering unique models serving specific purposes.
Currently, there's no public information about two special editions under development by Hyundai. However, it's known that the company is considering an off-road-specialized version (IONIQ 9 XRT) and a high-performance version of its premium electric SUV. Hyundai's Head of Design, Simon Loasby, has confirmed the development of these two special projects apart from the standard IONIQ 9 lineup.
The launch of the IONIQ 9 N and XRT models is expected to cement Hyundai's position in the global EV market. These models cater to specific consumer needs, from off-road enthusiasts to high-performance seekers, expanding Hyundai's customer base and challenging premium competitors.
