Ikegami to Debut UHD/HD Triple-CMOS Box Camera at NAB Show New York
The professional video industry is abuzz with anticipation as Ikegami, a leading name in broadcast technology, prepares to unveil its latest innovation – the UHL-X40, an ultra-compact 4K-UHD/HD 3-CMOS camera. This groundbreaking device will be showcased at the Ikegami booth (1027) during the NAB Show New York 2024.
Measuring 4.7 x 5 x 4.4 inches and weighing a manageable 2.4 pounds, the UHL-X40 is designed for applications that require an inconspicuous camera with uncompromised UHD performance. The camera boasts three high-quality 2/3-inch UHD sensors with a global shutter pixel architecture, ensuring natural images even when shooting LED screens, and is clear of geometric distortion during still frame replay.
One of the standout features of the UHL-X40 is its F-stop ramping zoom lens compensation, which minimizes dark corners and overall loss of light in telephoto mode with an open iris. Additionally, the camera incorporates automatic vignetting correction, further enhancing its image quality.
The accompanying CCU-X40 offers a range of impressive capabilities. It can output selectable resolution and scanning rates, including 3840 x 2160 at 59.94p and 50p, 1920 x 1080 at 59.94p and 50p, and others. The CCU-X40 also supplements an HD monitor output, providing information such as menu, characters, and markers.
Moreover, the CCU-X40 can output two formats simultaneously, such as 2160p UHD and 1080i HD. Focus assist can be enabled via the CCU-X40's HD monitor output, providing viewfinder video to a remotely located robotics operator.
Ikegami will also be showcasing the new OCP-500 control panel at NAB NY. This compact panel offers full function with joystick control of iris and master black. An optional tally light can be attached to the upper front of the UHL-X40 camera head for enhanced visibility.
HDR and BT.2020 color reproduction are available as standard with the UHL-X40 camera. More information about the UHL-X40 camera can be found on Ikegami's website.
