Megafon-branded devices experienced a significant surge in popularity during Q1 of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. A physical increase of 16% was observed, while the monetary growth amounted to 26%.

MegaFon's Own Brands See Boost in First Quarter Sales

In the Sverdlovsk region, sales of vintage button phones surged by over a third.

A notable surge in MegaFont's products under the Fontel and Stellarway brands has been noted for the first quarter of the year. The natural increase stood at 16%, while the monetary jump reached 26%. The star performer in sales growth was Fontel's button phones, which skyrocketed by a whopping 47%.

Interestingly, residents of the Middle Urals have shown a remarkable thrust towards these gadgets, with demand surging by 38%. So, what makes these devices a hit in this region? According to MegaFon's press service, their long-lasting battery life makes them an excellent choice for farm use, outdoor activities, and river rafting trips.

Sales Breakdown

  • Wireless headphones from MegaFon sold a brisk 19% more in Q1 2025 than the same period in 2024.
  • The sales of other headsets (including wired ones) saw a impressive 42% surge.
  • Button phones, the region's favorite, jumped by 47%.

As MegaFon introduces new devices under their own brands, their share in sales progressively increases. For instance, "buttons" accounted for an impressive 70% of Fontel's total sales in Q1, while the company's own brand's accessories claimed over 38% of the market share in the same period (up from 28% in Q1 2024).

In the portable devices category, Fontel products accounted for 17%, and Fontel tablets already control 16% of the market share, despite only entering it in December 2024.

We're committed to updating our range with advanced and improved models, and take into account the needs of modern audiences."

A Brief History

MegaFon has been manufacturing devices under its own Fontel and Stellarway brands for more than three years now. Fontel offers nine models of button phones, 19 models of smart bracelets and smart watches, two tablet models for adults, and two for children. The Stellarway brand releases protective glasses, batteries, headphones, adapters, cables, network and car charging devices, wired headsets, and other products.
