Genesis has announced updates to its 2026 lineup, with the Electrified GV70 leading the way in the compact electric luxury SUV category and the GV80 distinguishing itself with high towing capacity and a large infotainment system in the midsize luxury SUV segment.

The GV80 Coupe Black, a variant focused on dynamic and elegant styling, also joins the lineup, emphasising sporty luxury aesthetics over major mechanical changes.

Electrified GV70: Electric Range and Luxury Features

The Electrified GV70, featuring a larger 84-kWh battery, offers an EPA range of 263 miles for the base trim, while Advanced and Prestige trims have a range of about 243 miles. Powertrain output remains at 429 hp and 516 lb-ft torque with AWD, and it can tow up to 3,500 pounds. The Prestige trim gains luxury upgrades like Nappa leather, heated rear seats, Bang & Olufsen audio, active noise canceling, and a head-up display.

GV80: High Towing Capacity and Infotainment System

The 2026 GV80 continues to offer a range of powertrains including a 2.5L turbo 4-cylinder and a 3.5L twin-turbo V6. Towing capacity is rated at 6,000 lbs, exceeding competitors like the Volvo XC90. Fuel economy estimates predict improvement for the rear-wheel-drive 4-cylinder model at 20 city/26 highway mpg.
