Interra Systems Unveils ORION 2.0 for Enhanced OTT Streaming Quality
Interra Systems has rolled out updates to its ORION content monitoring suite, enhancing its capabilities for linear/IP and live/VOD streaming. The latest version, ORION 2.0, brings comprehensive IPv6 support, end-to-end ad insertion monitoring, and improved quality checks for OTT streaming. The suite will be showcased at IBC2024 in Amsterdam.
ORION 2.0 now offers comprehensive support for the IPv6 protocol, ensuring robust and future-proof monitoring. It also features end-to-end ad insertion monitoring and alerts for DAI marker propagation issues, providing a seamless viewing experience.
The latest version includes all-frame decoding and deep-dive analysis for high-priority channels, allowing for in-depth quality checks. It provides automated alerting and quality status reports for group-level KPIs, offering overall performance insights. The suite supports Docker-based installations, simplifying deployment and management.
Srinivas Koppolu, the person responsible for product management at Interra Systems, has overseen these updates. The ORION suite includes a smart framework for efficient root-cause analysis and faster issue resolution. It offers checks for low latency affecting the viewer experience and improved combinational checks for freeze/black with or without audio silence.
