Mirabaud Asset Management Appoints Gurdeep Bumbra as Lead Manager for Global Focus Equity Strategy

Gurdeep Bumbra has joined Mirabaud Asset Management as the lead manager for the group's Global Focus equity strategy. Bumbra brings over 20 years of experience in international equities to his new role, having previously worked as a senior investment manager focused on international and emerging equities at Pictet Asset Management.

In his new position, Bumbra will be part of the global equities team at Mirabaud, working alongside senior members such as Paul Middleton and Mohamed Hussein. Middleton is the lead manager of the Global Dividend Fund, while Hussein is a global equities analyst.

Bumbra's primary responsibility at Mirabaud will be to manage and lead the Global Focus equity strategy, which emphasizes global equity investments from a senior portfolio management perspective. The team at Mirabaud that Bumbra is joining has established roles in the Global Dividend Fund and global equities analysis.

Bumbra's appointment at Mirabaud is part of the company's focus on strengthening its core capabilities. The move follows the promotion of Umberto Boccato to CEO and Andrew Lake to CIO. Lake, the new CIO at Mirabaud, believes that Bumbra is a seasoned investor with a clear philosophy and proven results.

At Pictet Asset Management, Bumbra oversaw research for international equities, and his work experience has been primarily at Pictet. Bumbra's appointment at Mirabaud is expected to add meaningful value for clients, particularly through concentrated, forward-looking strategies.

Bumbra's new role at Mirabaud is based in London, where he will be working with the established team. The company is confident that Bumbra's expertise in international equities will contribute significantly to its success in the global market.
