In a strategic move aimed at bolstering Russia's technological advancements, Interros and Rosnano have signed an investment agreement to focus on managing high-tech projects. The announcement was made by the General Director of Interros, Sergei Batygin, who considers this investment as a significant step for Interros.

The main objective of this partnership, dubbed "Zarya", is to strategically manage high-tech projects, attract private capital, and discover new financing methods. The initial investments will be directed towards three key areas: creating a domestic chip for innovative high-precision navigation systems, developing electric mobility in Russian regions through the Hyper platform, and an eco-friendly project using closed-cycle economy for waste management.

The Hyper platform, a pioneer in electric mobility, will receive investment to expand its operations and promote sustainable transportation solutions in Russian regions. Meanwhile, the eco-friendly waste management project will focus on implementing environmentally friendly technologies for waste disposal.

Interros, a Russian conglomerate founded by Vladimir Potanin, has interests in various sectors, including metals, energy, and technology. On the other hand, Rosnano is a state-owned company established to promote innovation and nanotechnology development. Both organisations have been actively involved in high-profile projects and partnerships, with a focus on developing Russia's technological capabilities.

The agreement between Interros and LLC "UK Rosnano" will primarily focus on strategic management of high-tech projects. Interros plans to prioritise fundamental research for critical infrastructure, including navigation systems, platform solutions for electric mobility, and waste management systems. The funds from the investment will be utilised for developing high-tech projects prepared by UK for investment.

Founders of high-tech projects within Rosnano will also join UK, further strengthening the partnership and ensuring a seamless transition of projects. Sergei Kulikov, the Chairman of the Board of LLC "UK Rosnano", deems the creation of the fund as a significant milestone in transforming Rosnano within the national strategy for scientific and technological development.

While specific details about the strategic role of the Interros and Rosnano partnership in funding high-tech projects are not yet fully disclosed, the collaboration aligns with Russia's broader strategy to enhance domestic technological capabilities and diversify its economy. The partnership could face challenges due to international sanctions and reliance on foreign technology. However, it also presents opportunities for Russia to diversify its economy and reduce dependence on imported technologies.

This partnership, named "Zarya," intends to allocate funds towards three specific areas: developing electric mobility, creating a domestic chip for innovative navigation systems, and implementing eco-friendly waste management projects using closed-cycle economy.

Investments will be directed towards the Hyper platform, a pioneer in electric mobility, to broaden its operations and promote sustainable transportation solutions, and to the eco-friendly waste management project, focusing on implementing environmentally friendly technologies for waste disposal.
