Lada OMS Techno Unveils Affordable Electric Vehicle for People with Disabilities
Lada OMS Techno has unveiled its latest electric vehicle at the 'Innoprom' exhibition in Minsk. The car, designed for people with disabilities, is priced at Br27,000 and comes with a range of features to ensure accessibility and independence.
The car, currently assembled using Chinese parts, is set to be produced locally in Belarus by 2024, according to Andrey Augustinovich, director of Lada OMS Techno. This move aims to boost the local economy and reduce production costs.
The vehicle is an electric model with both fast and slow charging options, offering a range of 220 km. It is designed with accessibility in mind, allowing wheelchair users to drive, load, and store their wheelchair independently. The base model comes with features such as air conditioning, heating, heated mirrors, electric windows, ABS, and tire pressure correction.
The car, priced at Br27,000, is a significant step towards improving mobility for people with disabilities. With its electric powertrain and accessibility features, it offers independence and sustainability. The planned localization of production in Belarus by 2024 is expected to further enhance the vehicle's affordability and availability.
