Land Rover Unveils 2017 Discovery With Remote-Controlled Intelligent Seats
Land Rover has revealed the 2017 Discovery, featuring innovative Intelligent Seats that can be controlled remotely via an app. Adventurer Bear Grylls showcased this feature in an eye-catching skydiving stunt. The new Discovery completes the brand's model range and will be produced at Jaguar Land Rover's new plant in Slovakia from 2018.
The Intelligent Seats in the 2017 Discovery allow users to adjust position, recline, and fold using a smartphone app. Bear Grylls demonstrated this unique feature while skydiving, proving its convenience and practicality.
The Slovakia plant, with an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles, will not only produce the new Discovery but also electric versions of the Defender in the future. The new plant will also house production of the Land Rover Defender, which will join the Discovery on the production line.
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery, with its innovative Intelligent Seats, is set to roll off the production line at the Slovakia plant from 2018. The plant's significant capacity ensures efficient production of the Discovery and the upcoming electric Defender, solidifying Jaguar Land Rover's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
