MagicMoonshine Gold Returning, Targeting Earth this Time in its Space Odyssey
The MISSION TO EARTHPHASE - MOONSHINE GOLD watch, a unique piece from the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Collection, was released on August 9, 2025. Coinciding with the full Sturgeon Moon, this timepiece was available exclusively for one day at selected Swatch stores worldwide, with a strict one-watch-per-customer limit.
Crafted with a 42mm navy Bioceramic case, the watch houses a white opaline dial featuring luminous markers. Dual complications make this timepiece stand out - a moonphase indicator at 2 o'clock, coated with Omega's proprietary Moonshine™ Gold, and an earthphase display at 10 o'clock, showcasing the Earth's phases as seen from the Moon.
Charming illustrations of Snoopy and Woodstock sitting on the Moon beneath the earthphase add a playful touch. Hidden under UV light, a tribute to the pioneering spirit of the Moonwatch, is a phrase from a 1969 Peanuts comic.
Both moonphase and earthphase complications follow a 29.5-day cycle in opposite directions, offering a unique celestial timekeeping twist. Powered by a quartz movement, the watch also boasts a navy rubber strap with VELCRO® closure and Bioceramic loop, and a battery cover featuring an Earth-inspired graphic.
The biosourced glass features an etched “S” logo and Super-LumiNova® coating for nighttime visibility. The seconds hand is coated in Moonshine™ Gold, while the lug-to-lug distance measures 47.30 mm. The earth phase indicator features the Earth in sparkly dark blue hues, with oceans coated with UV ink.
Retailing at around $400 USD, the MISSION TO EARTHPHASE - MOONSHINE GOLD was not available online but only in selected Swatch stores, making it a limited, highly collectible edition.
