Maruti Suzuki Sees Record Festive Demand, Bookings Surge to 2.5 Lakh Units

Maruti Suzuki has experienced a surge in demand during the festive season, with bookings reaching an all-time high of 2.5 lakh units. This remarkable figure is a significant increase from last year's Navratri total of around 1 lakh vehicles.

The automaker's aggressive sales strategy, implemented in collaboration with its dealership partners, has driven this growth. Small cars have been particularly popular, posting a 100 per cent jump in sales compared to last year. To meet the increased demand, production teams are working tirelessly, even on Sundays and holidays.

Exports have also seen a significant boost, growing by 50 per cent to around 42,000 units. The GST rate cut has further sparked enthusiasm in the market, leading to higher showroom activity and record bookings. Dealers and financiers are working aggressively to deliver vehicles and sanction loans, with bookings nearly doubling to 18,000 per day. By Dussehra, Maruti Suzuki had already delivered 1.65 lakh vehicles in the first eight days of Navratri.

The festive season has proven to be a boon for Maruti Suzuki, with sales nearly doubling compared to last year. The company's strategic approach, coupled with positive market sentiments and consumer demand, has resulted in an unprecedented surge in bookings and deliveries.
