McLaren Unveils 650S Supercar with P1-Inspired Design and Staggering Performance
McLaren Automotive has unveiled the 650S, a revamped version of the MP4-12C, aiming to silence critics and boost performance. The 650S takes inspiration from the P1 hypercar and introduces numerous improvements.
The 650S borrows design elements from the P1, giving it a more aggressive and sporty appearance. Under the hood, it features an uprated version of the familiar M838T 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. This powerplant produces an impressive 641 horsepower at 7250rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 6000rpm, with 95% of the torque available between 3000 and 7000rpm.
McLaren has also made significant strides in the 650S's performance. It can accelerate from 0-100mph in just 5.7 seconds, a staggering 0.6 seconds faster than the legendary McLaren F1.
The McLaren 650S is a testament to McLaren Automotive's commitment to addressing criticisms and improving performance. With its striking design, powerful engine, and impressive acceleration, the 650S is poised to make a strong impact in the supercar segment.
