Mediaplus Crowned New Media Agency for Burger King Germany
Mediaplus has been named the new media agency for Burger King Germany, starting from 2026. The agency plans to boost the brand's presence and market share with a comprehensive media strategy. Julia Ketterer, Mediaplus' Managing Director, expressed enthusiasm about the win.
Mediaplus aims to position Burger King as the 'King of Communities', 'King of Data', 'King of Occasions', and 'King of Creativity'. The agency will employ a full-funnel mix of video, audio, social media, mobile, digital out-of-home (DOOH), and display advertising, along with regional point-of-sale measures. Yvonne von Eyb, Burger King Germany's Chief Marketing Officer, commended Mediaplus' focus on growth and innovative ideas.
Mediaplus' pitch for the account was unique. The agency transformed its office into the 'Home of the Whopper', complete with tailored menus and digital messages. This change comes after Burger King switched its social media agency earlier this year, with charles & charlotte replacing David + Martin. Previously, Burger King worked with dentsu X, part of the House of Communication (Serviceplan Group).
From 2026, Mediaplus will oversee Burger King Germany's media strategy, replacing dentsu X. The agency's ambitious plans aim to strengthen Burger King's community and market share, with a focus on data-driven creativity.
