Upgraded 4G Network in Suntarsky District, Yakutia: A Game-Changer for Residents

YAKUTIA.INFO - Upgrade Alert! Now, Megafon subscribers in 15 more Yakutian settlements can boast about a reliable network signal and high-speed mobile internet, thanks to the operator's recent network modernization in the Suntarsky District. Approximately 19,000 residents, mostly in small villages, can now enjoy a smoother digital experience.

Villagers of Toydakh, Nakhara, Tenkya, Tolon, Krestyakh, Toibohoy, Kyundyae, Kuokun, Khorogoi, Mar-Kuel', Elgyai, Sheya, Kempendya', Uusun-Kuel', and Suntar can now bypass the frustration of lagging video calls, unclear audio, and sluggish online browsing. With faster internet speeds, they can indulge in hassle-free downloads of heavy games or files, high-resolution streaming, and seamless video calls. Social media live broadcasts, digital services, educational platforms, and streaming services no longer need to be a distant dream.

In these villages, nearly half of the 19,000 residents dwell in settlements with a population between 100 and 500. Engineers have worked tirelessly on several frequency bands to ensure optimal network capacity for multiple users, increased mobile internet speed, and reliable coverage over a considerable area, even indoors.

"Our team is dedicated to improving mobile network infrastructure, as the insatiable hunger for swift 4G mobile internet is rapidly expanding," says Maria Mamayeva, Director of Megafon in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Last year, Megafon completed over 200 equipment modernization events across Yakutia to cater to this burgeoning demand.

Bonus Insight: Measures like software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) are commonly used to boost network efficiency and flexibility during such modernization projects.
