MEXC Empowers Digital Asset Adoption in Vietnam

Vietnam is making strides in digital asset adoption, ranking among the top 10 countries globally. One of the key players driving this growth is MEXC, a global cryptocurrency exchange operating in over 170 countries, including Vietnam.

At the recent GM Vietnam 2025, MEXC showcased its commitment to the region, joining as a Diamond Sponsor. The MEXC booth was a standout highlight, featuring interactive sports areas, AR and Web3 spaces, and a community entertainment area. MEXC representatives were even interviewed live by Vietnam Television (VTV) on the opening day.

MEXC's efforts in Vietnam are not limited to trading. The exchange is actively involved in charity and community development programs, including scholarship donations, gift campaigns, and philanthropic initiatives in underprivileged areas.

Moreover, MEXC conducts educational initiatives focused on trading security and risk control. These initiatives aim to reduce fraud and disinformation, indirectly supporting safer adoption of crypto technologies by Vietnamese users. The global security education campaign launched in August 2025 targets regions including Southeast Asia, where fraud attempts rose by 35% in Q2 2025.

While specific youth-focused tech innovation programs or community-building projects in Vietnam are not explicitly detailed, MEXC's overall enhancement of crypto trading safety and accessibility, as well as regional security education efforts, may indirectly support tech innovation among the youth.

MEXC Ventures also invests in Southeast Asian blockchain projects, such as Indonesia’s Triv exchange, but Vietnam-specific initiatives were not cited in the latest data. However, MEXC aims to link the global Web3 ecosystem with local tech communities, suggesting a potential future focus on Vietnam's tech ecosystem.

As regulations on digital assets in Vietnam evolve, MEXC, with its extensive global experience, is well-positioned to contribute to the growth of the digital asset market in the country. Digital asset exchanges, once fully legalised, are expected to become one of the most appealing investment platforms for young people in Vietnam. Even Bybit Technology has expressed interest in a sandbox on crypto assets in Vietnam.

In the long term, MEXC's vision in Vietnam is reflected through localised operations, educational programs, workshops, hackathons, and its global MEXC Foundation initiative with a total budget of $30 million. As the digital asset landscape in Vietnam continues to evolve, MEXC's role in fostering tech innovation and safer adoption of digital assets is set to be a significant one.

Dada serves as the country business director of MEXC Vietnam, leading the exchange's operations and initiatives in the country. Under the new Law on Digital Technology Industry, digital assets are officially recognised in Vietnam, encompassing both website assets and cryptoassets, while excluding securities, digital fiat currencies, and other financial instruments. This legal recognition paves the way for further growth and investment in the digital asset market in Vietnam.
