The Van Gogh Immersive Exhibition, on the other hand, uses digital projection and AR to immerse visitors in the artist’s visual world. Instead of just viewing paintings, visitors experience Van Gogh’s brushstrokes in large-scale projections combined with directional sound and interactive stations to experiment with his techniques.

The Museum of Discovery & Science hosts the Dino Dana Adventures AR exhibit, designed to engage visitors with prehistoric creatures through interactive fossil hunts and exploration. This AR experience allows visitors to interact with and learn about dinosaurs in an engaging, hands-on way that bridges education and entertainment.

These examples demonstrate how museums are moving beyond static exhibits by incorporating AR and VR to create dynamic, engaging, and educational experiences. AR technology has the potential to reach a wider audience, including those who may not be able to physically visit the museum. In Singapore, the National Museum's AR-enhanced trail allows visitors to explore the museum's galleries and exhibits in a new and interactive way. The Art Gallery of Ontario's ReBlink project uses AR to bring classic paintings to life, allowing visitors to see them in a new light and gain a deeper understanding of the artist's intent.

As museums continue to embrace technology, they are not only enhancing the visitor experience but also preserving cultural heritage in innovative ways.
