Nikon India Unveils the Next-Gen Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera: The Z5II

In a move to cater to content creators, videographers, and professionals on the go, Nikon India has introduced the Z5II, its next-generation full-frame mirrorless camera. The Z5II, available under open sale from April 24, 2025, retails at Rs 1,49,995 for the body only. Additional accessories, such as lenses, a tripod, and more, are available at an extra cost.

At its heart, the Nikon Z5II boasts a 24.5MP full-frame Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED 7 image processor. The camera's upgraded autofocus system delivers 3.5x faster performance in lighting as low as -10EV, with support for AI-based subject tracking, including people, pets, birds, and vehicles.

Video enthusiasts will appreciate the Z5II's capabilities, including 4K recording at 60fps, Full HD at 120fps, and 12-bit N-RAW and 10-bit N-Log formats. The camera offers support for SDR and HLG recording modes as well.

The Z5II features a similar design to its predecessor, but with several enhancements such as a 3000-nit Electronic Viewfinder (EVF), a vari-angle LCD, and updated connectivity options, including USB-C and HDMI ports. A newly added Picture Control button provides quick visual adjustments.

Further, the Z5II comes equipped with several additional features, including 5-axis in-body vibration reduction (up to 7.5 stops), 14fps burst shooting with 3D tracking, dual storage options (not specified during launch), and compatibility with all Nikon Z-mount lenses.

Accessory bundles for the mirrorless camera are available, including:- Nikon Z5II + Nikon 24-50mm standard zoom lens at Rs 1,72,995.- Nikon Z5II + Nikon 24-70mm standard zoom lens at Rs 1,94,995.- Nikon Z5II + Nikon 24-200mm standard zoom lens at Rs 2,07,995.- Nikon Z5II + Nikon 24-120mm standard zoom lens at Rs 2,29,995.

Nikon is also offering additional perks, such as an EN-EL 15c battery worth Rs. 4,990 and MH-25a Charger worth Rs. 2,650 complimentary with each purchase.
