Nissan Ariya: First Electric SUV Unveiled with 248-Mile Range and Innovative V2L, V2G Capabilities
Nissan has recently unveiled the Ariya, its first electric SUV, with a range starting at 248 miles. Prices and specifications are yet to be announced.
The Ariya comes with a comprehensive warranty: three years or 60,000 miles for the entire car, and eight years or 100,000 miles for the battery, extendable upon payment.
The entry-level Engage trim features 195/60 18 tyres for enhanced efficiency. The base, long-range version is expected to be priced lower than a Tesla Model 3. The top Evolve trim is showcased in the provided photos.
The Ariya offers innovative capabilities: vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G). With V2L, you can power devices or appliances, and with V2G, you can sell excess electricity back to the grid. Nissan provides a certified V2G home charger for this purpose.
Electricity suppliers like Octopus offer special tariffs for electric vehicle owners, allowing for potential savings by charging at cheap overnight rates and selling excess electricity during peak hours. The Advance trim offers cosmetic upgrades and 235/45 19 tyres but reduces range.
The Nissan Ariya, priced starting at €43,490 for the base version, offers a compelling mix of range, innovation, and affordability. Its advanced capabilities and warranty make it an attractive option in the electric SUV market.
