Nissan Australia has officially announced the pricing and specifications of its upcoming electric vehicle, the Ariya SUV, which is set to hit the Australian market in early September 2025. Interested buyers can place their orders via Nissan's website or visit a local dealer.

Pricing and Variants

The Ariya SUV will be available in four variants: Engage, Advance, Advance+, and Evolve e-4orce. The entry-level Engage and mid-spec Advance variants will come with a 63 kWh battery pack, priced at $55,840 and $59,840 respectively, before on-road costs. The larger dual-motor AWD Advance+ and Evolve variants will feature the larger 87 kWh battery pack, priced at $63,840 and $71,840 respectively.

Battery Options and Range

The Ariya will offer two battery options: a 63 kWh and an 87 kWh liquid-cooled battery. The smaller battery delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 385 km, while the larger battery can extend the range to 504 km in the single-motor Advance+ variant.

Charging Capabilities

The Ariya SUV will support AC charging up to 22 kW and DC fast charging up to 130 kW. This enables a charge from 10% to 80% in just over 35 minutes for the Advance+ and Evolve variants.

Models and Performance

The front-wheel-drive Engage and Advance variants, equipped with a 63 kWh battery and a 160 kW motor, deliver 300 Nm of torque. The Advance variant also includes a Bose 10-speaker premium sound system. The Advance+ variant, with the larger 87 kWh battery and a 178 kW motor, offers the same torque.

The all-wheel-drive (e-4ORCE) Evolve variant features dual 160 kW motors, delivering a massive 600 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. This variant also comes with a panoramic glass roof.

Towing Capacity

The Engage and Advance variants have a braked towing capacity of 750 kg, while the Evolve AWD variant boasts a higher braked towing capacity of 1500 kg.

Dimensions

The Ariya SUV has a length of 4595 mm, a width of 1850 mm (excluding mirrors), and a wheelbase of 2775 mm, ensuring a spacious and practical interior.

Warranty

Nissan offers a 10-year, 300,000 km warranty if the vehicle is serviced at Nissan dealerships in Australia. The standard warranty is 5 years with no mileage cap, and the battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km, guaranteeing at least 9 out of 12 bars of battery capacity remaining.

The Ariya is positioned as a versatile electric SUV with multiple trims and configurations designed for different customer needs, including private and fleet buyers. Despite the initial 2023 launch plan being postponed due to regulatory and supply factors, the official market introduction is now confirmed for September 2025 at competitive pricing starting below AUD 60,000.
