Nissan's Z Nismo Knife Sells Out in 240 Units
Nissan enthusiasts and sushi lovers alike have snapped up a unique collaboration between the Japanese automaker and renowned knifemaker Kiryu. The Z Nismo Precision Sushi Knife, inspired by the classic Nissan 240Z, has sold out after just 240 units were produced.
Each knife, individually numbered and adorned with the Z logo, Chef Hiro's name, and the Kiryu insignia, was handcrafted in Niigata Prefecture. The 210mm double-beveled blade ensures clean, precise cuts, perfect for sushi preparation. The handle sports a bright red stripe, mirroring Nissan's Nismo theme.
The collaboration between Nissan Design America, chef Hiroyuki Terada ('Chef Hiro'), and Kiryu resulted in this limited-edition blade. Both Chef Hiro and Kiryu's principal knifemaker, Satoshi Kiryu, are avid Nissan sports car fans. The knife was initially offered in the USA through Nissan Nismo Parts for NZ$525.
The Z Nismo Precision Sushi Knife, a blend of automotive heritage and culinary craftsmanship, has proven to be a hit among collectors and enthusiasts. With only 240 units made, it's now a sought-after item in both the sushi and Nissan communities.
