Nokia unveils novel Wi-Fi and fiber technology offerings during Network X 2024 event
In the world of technological advancements, Nokia has announced a new digital automation cloud Wi-Fi solution. This innovative product, set to hit the market in the final quarter of 2024, will incorporate AI-powered network performance-optimising capabilities from Aprecomm.
The announcement was made at the recently concluded Network X event, where the 2024 edition saw a significant surge in attendance. Christopher Lycett, the event director, expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event, stating that the show floor was bustling with networking, collaboration, and product development.
The Lightspan MF-8, a high-capacity fibre platform, is another addition to Nokia's fibre access portfolio. This platform supports 10/25/50G and future 100G PON services, offering high-end services without any single point of failure. The Lightspan MF-8 is designed for mid-size deployments such as cabinets, central offices, and data centres, ensuring ultra-reliable performance with six-nines availability.
In his statement, Christopher Lycett indicated that the community will be welcomed back next year, from 14-16 October. He also mentioned that the attendee growth for the 2024 edition is over 15%, contributing to the overall success of the event.
As for the integration of Aprecomm's AI-driven network performance optimization into Nokia's new Digital Automation Cloud Wi-Fi solution, no specific timeline has been provided as of the latest search results in 2025.
